The Energy Cost Report

Renewable Cost Trend Unstoppable

The Energy Cost Report, part of the newly-launched Energy Transition Service, provides in-depth global analysis of cost trends among competing forms of power generation, including the falling cost of renewable energy. The report, which is published twice per year, presents data broken down into five regions covering about three-quarters of the world's power generation and is based on Energy Intelligence's proprietary levelized cost of energy model.

What's included in the latest Energy Cost Report:

  • Current power generation costs
  • Projected power generation costs
  • Power capacity investment costs
  • Fuel and carbon prices
  • Renewable - fossil fuel cost parity points
  • Wind parity timeline
  • Solar parity timeline
