Brazil Round 11: New Opportunities Amid Shifting Landscape
After a nearly five-year drought in licensing activity, Brazil is preparing a wide range of offerings that will be of interest to both existing players and new entrants. Brazil’s Round 11 is poised to be one of the most significant licensing rounds in 2013 with as many as 289 blocks on offer.
Round 11 is only the beginning of a series of opportunities for a diverse set of players. Brasilia has also announced intentions to hold a pre-salt licensing round in November—the first under the new PSC regime—and its first shale round in December.
How Energy Intelligence can help your organization in Brazil
Since Brazil’s previous auction in 2008, the hydrocarbon sector regulatory framework and above-ground risk landscape have seen dramatic shifts. The competitor dynamics are also rapidly changing along with the opportunity set.
Energy Intelligence Research & Advisory can help clients assess these opportunities in the context of the evolving above-ground risk and competitive landscape in Brazil.
Using its proprietary above-ground risk assessment methodology, Energy Intelligence Research & Advisory offers clients an in-depth Brazil country study that can be tailored to the needs of individual clients. The risk study is a structural analysis of Brazilian politics, economics, hydrocarbon sector institutions, policy and regulations, as well as entry terms and operating conditions.
Complementing the above-ground risk study, Energy Intelligence Research & Advisory offers an assessment of the Brazilian upstream competitive landscape to help your company identify potential partners and competitors and develop an entry strategy. This assessment leverages the extensive expertise of our research analysts and company benchmarking capabilities through the Energy Intelligence Business & Competitive Intelligence retainer service and the Energy Intelligence Top 100: Global NOC & IOC Rankings analytical data tool.
